BLOOD DRIVE TOMORROW
    GENTLEMEN:  I have heard that, if your health allows, giving MAY BE beneficial to your Heart Health.  Don't quote me, but this is what I have been told at the Red Cross Center.  You know, "like getting an oil change" while allowing you to re-charge your red blood cells.  I'm no doctor, BUT ....

1)  Please join your fellow Brother Knights at 10 AM Memorial Mass / Corporate Communion, Sunday, November 27,   Bring your entire family for a strong showing of support for our Fraternal efforts while proudly wearing our Council's colors.

Christmas Tree SETUP / SALE - Manpower Needed



Gentlemen:

Beginning on Saturday, November 5, and following on Saturday November 12 and November 19, Manpower is requested at the Dairy Queen on Milford Road across from BAKERS.

The festivities begin at 9 AM, each date, to complete mini projects such as WIRING, TREE STAND SET-UP, LIGHTING, BARRICADE AND SIGN SET-UP, ETC.

Recent Hold-Em Fundraiser & Upcoming Dates


Our Recent TX Hold-Em Fundraiser held at Card Sharks on Dixie Highway and Frembes in Waterford was a success; based on history that is!!  Less time expended and the same $$$$ results.  "That's the way uhuh-uhuh I like it".  What song is that from guys??  
    I want to thank those that volunteered and formed the dynamic teams of:
Bob Sobczak and Gus LaRuffa, Carl Meserve and Todd Diffenderfer, Larry Donnellon and Jerry Klemmer, Co-Chairss Bill McMillan and John Hudspeth, Mike Wojnar and Mike Rabideau (don't you guys also host the Mike and Mike Sports Show??), Richard Kerruish and Doug Sordyl, and last but not least, Tom Gieselman.

    Guys, I am thankful that we are seeing new names on this event's volunteer list and THEREFORE spreading the wealth of Fraternity, while making stronger bonds and new friendships; THANK YOU ALL!!

        Please don't miss since we have much to discuss and plan for our remaining Fraternal Year.      Bring a Pal / Fellow Member who may have been unable to attend past meetings. 

2)  TOOTSIE ROLL / "SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN" FUNDRAISER, WEEKEND OF OCTOBER 14-16.
        Contact Mr. Harlan Thome, our Worthy Chairperson, at 248-684-1863 to select a time slot and location to ENGAGE those passers-by on the streets of our local community.  Harlan and George, thank you once again for taking the Bull By The Horns.  I wish I had an Antique Coin Sorting machine!!

Thursday, May 12, Fraternal Benefits Night and Upcoming Events


*** IMPORTANT NOTICE ***
Our Council will be hosting a special Fraternal Benefits night on Thursday, May 12, beginning at 8:00pm in St. Mary's Church Hall. Please note that our council will still have our general meeting at 7:30 but it will be abbreviated so we can begin fraternal benefits night at 8:00pm. Todd Diffenderfer, our council's insurance agent will present special information on the Knights of Columbus, and the benefits the Knights of Columbus offers. Questions are welcome. This meeting is open to the general public and any Catholic gentlemen in good standing who is at least 18 years old is and is interested in joining the Knights of Columbus is encouraged to attend. Wives of our members are also welcome. Refreshments and desert will be served. Our council serves the surrounding Milford area.

TEXAS HOLDEN FUNDRAISER - MAY 17 - MAY 20

Our Council will be hosting our 2nd Texas Holdem Fundraiser at the Shark Club in Waterford located one-half mile East of Hospital Road on M-59.
Many of our fellow Knights have already volunterred to work various shifts.
Slots are open on May 18 from 5 - 10 PM and closing time from 10 PM - 2 AM. We also have a slot currently open on Thursday, May 19, from Noon - 5 PM.
Note: The Shark Club does have wireless internet available for free, so is you have work to do during a lull in the Poker action, feel free to bring your laptop.

APPRECIATION DINNER

Our Council will be hosting an Appreciation Dinner for Brother Knights and their spouses on June 24, 6:30 PM at Hector and Jimmys. Brother Knights who have been so kind to volunteer time throughout of current Fraternal Year can anticipate a written invitation from our worthy Deputy Grand Knight, Mr. Rob MacMain, Chairperson.
Chairman of our various events held throughout our current fraternal year may send their volunteer lists to Rob, via email, at

Thank you one and all for all your efforts as well as to your spouses who have been so kind to support your efforts on behalf of our our Council and that our our Community and charities we help support.

Business Meeting, Weds., April 13, 2011; 7:30 PM


Note:  This month's Membership Meeting (FOR THIS MONTH ONLY) will be one day early at Church due to a conflict with other scheduled Church Activities.  See you all there Wednesday, April 13, at 7:30 PM.  COME ONE COME ALL.  Snacks and Drinks will be available.  For those members who have not attended a meeting or been available to volunteer, come enjoy the company of your fellow Knights and learn about all that has been accomplished in our church community to date and yet to be accomplished for the remainder of the year. 

LENTEN FISH FRY - This Friday, April 15, we will host our final Lenten Season FIsh Fry.  Reach out to friends, family, fellow parishioners, etc., so we can keep all the volunteer Brother Knights busier than ever.  The vibrancy of the room is really something to behold; come witness the Parish Unity first hand.

Our next major Fundraiser will be held at the Shark Club, Texas Hold-EM, May 17-20.  We have a special need for volunteers to enjoy their time during the Day-Time time slot of Noon until 5 PM and Late Night time slot of 10 PM - 2 AM.  Wireless Internet connection available for those who prefer or need this service.
